Frequently Asked Questions
Vote for Richard “Dick” Adams On November 6th, 2012!
A candid conversation with Richard “Dick” Adams Republican Candidate for 80th District State Representative:
Why are you a candidate for the 80th District State Representative?
- I am concerned with the problems facing Ohioans, especially the residents of Miami and Darke Counties. The need for more good jobs, the funding of K-12 education, high college tuition, health care costs, the challenges of being a successful farmer, the difficulty of running a business, and trying to live on a fixed income are areas that continue to need attention.
What are your top priorities as our next State Representative?
- To solve the need for state services and local needs the answer is not higher taxes. State government must partner with local elected officials, employers, and educators to retain the good jobs we have and add additional good jobs. With a strong economy we can generate the resources necessary to invest in state responsibilities without raising state taxes.
Why should taxpayers vote for you?
- I will go to Columbus to do or undo those things that are important to the citizens of Miami and Darke Counties. To get things done in the state legislature a plan to solve the problem, or even better, a plan to prevent a problem is needed. Plus a strategy to get the plan enacted is required. I have a vision of what needs to be accomplished and the experience of working to get positive results. I have demonstrated the ability to get things done as a county commissioner for two terms.
